Over half of the selections went to major features helmed by filmmaker Ricky Greenwood. His couples feature Amuse Bouche led the way, receiving nominations for Grand Reel, Best Leading Actor (Nathan Bronson), Best Leading Actress (Lumi Ray), Best Non-Sex Performance (Tommy Pistol), Best Screenplay – Feature/Extended Work (Shawn Alff), and Best Supporting Actor (Derrick Pierce).
His musical drama Alive was similarly honored, earning Grand Reel, Best Leading Actress (Victoria Voxxx), Best Leading Actor (Chad Alva), Best Music, and Best Supporting Actress (Sophia Locke).
A third project directed by Greenwood, Climax #4, secured a nomination for Best Foursome/Orgy Scene (Nicole Doshi, Ana Foxxx, Kenna James, Valentina Nappi, August Skye, Kendra Sunderland, Charles Dera, Seth Gamble, and Isiah Maxwell). The overall excellence of Greenwood’s output over the past year was recognized with an overall nomination for Best Directing Portfolio – Varied Range.
Multi-awarded Dorcel filmmaker Herve Bodilis’ work was honored with a Best Directing Portfolio – International nomination, while his Editor’s Choice feature Casino Endgame secured nominations for Best International Production, Best Cinematography, and Best International Group Sex Scene (Carollina Cherry, Ariana Cortez, Shalina Devine, Selva Lapiedra, Victoria Nova, Anita Rover, Zaawaadi, Clémence Audiard, Jimmy Bud, Tommy Cabrio, Max Deeds, James Duval, Luke Hardy, Ricky Mancini and Alex Romero).
Other honors included a second Best International Production nomination for Liselle Bailey’s Idol, while director Franck Vicomte was recognized with nominations for Best Directing Portfolio – International and Best MILF Movie or Collected Release (for M.I.L.F.S.). Alis Locanta’s What Is Love earned a nomination for Best International All-Girl Sex Scene (Venera Maxima & Lia Lin).
Several successful Dorcel series were recognized by AVN, including Luxure (Best Anthology Series or Free-Form Line) and Impulses (Best International All-Girl Sex Scene (Angie Lynx and Mary Popiense).
