In FalconINK’s scorching new erotic sports romance, HARD BALL 2: PLAYING FOR KEEPS, the competition is stiff and the action is just as intense off the field as it is on the diamond. With raw attraction and rivalry colliding in a game that gives all new meaning to ‘playing dirty,’ the sequel to the bestselling novella HARD BALL hits shelves November 3, 2026, and will be available as a trade paperback (US$9.99 SRP), ebook (US$4.99 SRP), and audiobook (US$9.99 SRP). Written by Riley Parks with an audiobook edition narrated by superstar Eddie Burke, the book is available wherever books are sold, including Amazon, Apple Books, and Barnes & Noble.
Mateo Ruiz has spent his entire life chasing the majors, but when the call finally comes, it takes him away from the one thing he never planned on finding – Chase Whitaker. What began as an irresistible attraction between teammates has become a secret relationship marked by stolen nights, true devotion, and an appetite for each other that distance only makes worse. Then, Chase gets his own call and lands on a rival team. Suddenly, the man Mateo loves is standing across the diamond in another uniform, looking particularly gorgeous, and completely off-limits. In front of the cameras, they’re competitors with everything to prove; behind closed doors, weeks apart leave them desperate to make up for lost time. But as their careers take off and the spotlight gets brighter, keeping their relationship hidden becomes harder than resisting each other ever was. They’ve fought too hard to reach the big leagues to risk losing everything, but neither of them is willing to give up the love they’ve found together. HARD BALL 2: PLAYING FOR KEEPS is the sexually charged sequel to the hit erotic romance novella HARD BALL, also available from Falcon Books.
“We’re extremely proud of the success of our new publishing arm, FalconINK, and are beyond excited that fans have connected so strongly with the HARD BALL universe,” said Falcon | NakedSword Co-Chief. “Riley Parks has delivered a homerun sequel, HARD BALL 2: PLAYING FOR KEEPS, and readers are going to love how Mateo and Chase’s romance continues to unfold. Eddie Burke once again gives a wonderful audiobook performance that will undoubtedly bring pleasure to listeners’ ears – and maybe some other body parts, as well.”
