Icon Brands is releasing “Mixers,” mixed blends of pastel colours in an ombre style, themed by colour to the mixed drinks they call to mind.
“Tequila Sunrise, Lime Rickey and Blueberry Crush” are the first three titles, with oranges and yellows, blues and golds, and purple to pink blends, respectively. The 8” pieces are poured in 100% body-safe liquid silicone, with a slight shimmer in their finish.
“We’ve had such great success with Shades that when presented the opportunity to do equally beautiful ombre pastels in such a soft , flexible silicone, we jumped at the opportunity,” said a company spokesman, adding “And we simply had to package them in clear plastic boxes, so customers can see the amazing hues we achieved.”
Mixers, which wholesale at US$17.50, represent Icon’s ongoing efforts to offer retailers 300+ markup. “These can easily retail for US$39.95, so after a retailer’s discount from wholesale, a 300% markup should be feasible,” said a rep for the company.
