Lovense announced Glint, the world’s first touch-responsive butt plug for couples. Glint is designed to enhance intercourse by synchronizing anal stimulation with a partner’s thrust for a more intense, connected dual penetration experience. A touch sensor in the base reads skin contact and changes the vibration as the contact changes. Most couple toys worn during sex still take their cues from a phone or remote. Glint takes them from the couple’s own movement.
“For years, we’ve been thinking about one question,” said Dan Liu, CEO of Lovense. “What should a toy for couples to use during sex look like, and what should it do? It also had to stand clearly apart from the couple toys already on the market. We’re confident Glint is a distinctive answer to that question. We hope to change couples’ view of toys during sex, and even their habits.”
The plug is worn anally and the base stays outside the body. The sensor reads how much of the base is covered, at what angle and for how long, then moves the vibration across five intensity levels to match. A fingertip gets a small response. A palm, or a partner’s thrust against the base during intercourse, gets a larger one.
The wearer sets Glint up once in the Lovense Remote app, choosing a sensitivity and one of three response types. Pulse gives up to three rhythmic pulses per touch-and-hold. Sustain vibrates for as long as skin stays on the base. Crescendo starts low, builds while the contact continues, then resets. After that the phone can go back in the drawer. At 0.84 inches (21.5 mm) and 55 grams, Glint is small enough for a first plug and does not compete for space during intercourse. Stores hear that objection most often about wearable couple vibrators.
During intercourse, each thrust against Glint’s base triggers the vibration, so the anal stimulation moves in time with the couple’s rhythm. In foreplay, a partner’s hand on the base does the same. Either partner can wear it.
Through Toy Sync, the base can also drive other Lovense devices. Iftthe other partner wears the Edge 2 prostate massager, each thrust or touch against Glint’s base changes the vibration in both toys at once. Glint also pairs with Lush 4 and Gush 2 Motion. One touch can reach several devices across the Lovense ecosystem.
In pre-launch testing, the response during intercourse became automatic and simply followed the movement. For retailers, Glint belongs on the shelf with couple toys and beginner anal toys, not fill-oriented plugs. Lovense’s own consumer messaging leads with anal stimulation synced to a partner’s thrust, not vibration strength. Touch Records is an optional feature and is off by default. Users can switch it on in the Remote app to see touch frequency and duration after each session. For creators, Glint works with Lovense’s tip-activated streaming tools like the rest of the range.
